Custom objects in SalesForce. How to create and use

Today I show you how to create and use custom objects in SalesForce. Need to add some custom objects in SalesForce to increase Salesforce flexibility? Do not worry; I have a short video on how to get it.

Text instruction:

  1. Open salesforce.com and login to SalesForce
  2. Click the Setup - Create
  3. Find the Objects
  4. Click the New Custom Object button
  5. Scroll down
  6. Click the New button
  7. Fill the Custom Object Definition Edit block: 7.1 Enter the Label of the object 7.2 Enter the Plural Label of the object 7.3 Enter the Object Name + add a Description if you want
  8. Fill the Enter Record Name Label and Format block (Enter the Record Name and select Data type)
  9. Activate needed Optional Features: 9.1 Allow Reports 9.2 Allow Activities 9.3 Track Field History 9.4 Allow in Chatter Groups 9.5 Enable Licensing
  10. Activate Object Classification: 10.1 Allow Sharing 10.2 Allow Bulk API Access 10.3 Allow Streaming API Access
  11. Select deployment status (In Development / Deployed)
  12. Select Search Status (Allow search)
  13. Fill the Object Creation Options (Available only when the custom object is first created) block: 13.1 Add Notes and Attachments related list to default page layout 13.2 Launch New Custom Tab Wizard after saving this custom object
  14. Click the Save button
  15. Fill Details block in the New Custom Object Tab page (Object / Tab style)
  16. Click the Next button
  17. Establish profile-level security
  18. Click the Next button
  19. Fill Step 3. Add to Custom Apps page
  20. Voilà, you know how to create and use custom objects in SalesForce:)
